Janie DeCelles      


Motivated by a passion to make a positive difference in people's lives, Janie DeCelles began her career in long term care insurance in 1994, when she founded the San Diego Regional Office for AMEX Life, later acquired by General Electric Capital Assurance. Promoted to Director of Business Development, she later helped develop new channels of distribution on a national level.

Janie is affiliated with one of the largest and most experienced nationwide long term care brokerage firms, LTC Resources. LTCR specializes in marketing LTC insurance through affinity partnerships such as Alumni groups, professional associations and credit unions. Through LTCR's marketing programs, members are able to compare multiple LTC plans from the top carriers in the LTC market. In addition, members are able to obtain certain plans at discounted rates. As an independent broker, Janie represents the major carriers who have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to the industry along with sound financial reserves and helps clients "shop" for the best package for their needs.

Financial advisors, attorneys and accountants refer their clients to Janie to seek out the appropriate plan and best carrier for each of their clients' unique needs. She also provides seminars on the subject of Long Term Care planning issues for small businesses, community and civic organizations. As an expert in LTC, her mission is to assist every eligible individual gain the necessary information about the costs and benefits of LTC insurance so that they can make an informed decision on this important issue. She is certified by the California Partnership for Long Term Care.

Janie is involved in making a difference in her community by being a board member for several land trusts, volunteering with the San Diego Foundation, and serving on the San Diego Regional Disaster Fund Board. She has a Finance degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and received her MBA from Harvard Business School. She lives in Cardiff by the Sea with her Golden Retriever, Tiger, and her Ragdoll kitten, Zuli.
